Very honoured that I could attend the 48th session of UNCITRAL Working Group III (Investor-State Dispute Settlement Reform) in New York in the week of 1-5 April 2024 where an agreement in principle was reached on the draft statute of an advisory centre on international investment dispute resolution.

I was pleased to attend the 25th Annual IBA Arbitration Day in Singapore on 22-23 February 2024 on “25 years together and now? Building the arbitration model for tomorrow” and to meet with many colleagues from around the world. Having regard to the United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation, which was opened for signature in Singapore on 7 August 2019 (the “Singapore Convention on Mediation”), it was very interesting to attend also the IBA Mediation Committee meeting in Singapore on the topic “Investor state disputes : how arbitration and mediation can intertwine to provide more resonant solutions”.
