HERMAN VERBIST, ATTENDING THE 25Th IBA ARBITRATION DAY IN SINGAPORE ON 22-23 FEBRUARY 2024

I was pleased to attend the 25^th Annual IBA Arbitration Day in Singapore on 22-23 February 2024 on “25 years together and now? Building the arbitration model for tomorrow” and to meet with many colleagues from around the world.

Having regard to the United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation, which was opened for signature in Singapore on 7 August 2019 (the “Singapore Convention on Mediation”),  it was very interesting to attend also the IBA Mediation Committee meeting in Singapore on the topic “Investor state disputes : how arbitration and mediation can intertwine to provide more resonant solutions”.
